Well, I did mention I've been working on exposure blending, so that probably explains why that technique has made up around a third of my top ten, including the photo at Number Three.
I think this is a well-composed photo. The pier leads your eye out onto the lake, and the way the reflection of trees recedes acts as an extension of that, pulling you further into the photo. In the sky, the dark clouds form a leading line almost parallel to the far shoreline that points you in the same direction as the pier/treeline.
I just love the reflection of clouds. The long exposure I took for the water allowed the water to look glass-smooth.
